Writing and Editing

Ruth Ansah Ayisi, writer, editor, workshop facilitator, English teacher, UNICEF consult, Mozambique

I write on many issues including conflict, development issues, wellbeing and the arts.

I edit all types of material and all lengths including journalistic style articles, development reports and academic research.

My work as a journalist has been mostly overseas. However, I started as a staff member with the London-based African Times and then I was posted to Zimbabwe as the coordinator of the Africa Women's Feature Service of Inter Press Service, a development international news agency.

As a freelancer, I contributed to the London Independent, Time Magazine, BBC World Service (radio); Radio Netherlands (Africa Service) and Panos features.

I worked as a staff member for UNICEF (based in Mozambique, New York and London) for eight years and continue to consult for the UNICEF. I write feature stories, blogs, press releases, speeches and reports.  I also write for a variety of other outlets.
